About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Anaesthetics and Critical Care team as aSenior Clinical FellowatPrincess of Wales Hospital.

This rewarding post offers the opportunity to become an integral member of theIntensive Care Unit (ICU) on-call rota, gaining valuable experience in the management of critically ill patients within a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team.

In addition, successful candidates will have opportunities to work alongside theGeneral Anaesthetic team,supporting bothelective and emergency theatre servicesacross a broad range of specialties. This role provides excellent exposure to a diverse clinical workload and is ideal for clinicians looking to further develop their skills in anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, and critical care.

Essential

Full GMC with a licence to paractice and eligible to work in the UK
ALS Certified
Primary FRCA
Must be able to perform the duties of the post
The post holder must have proof of immunity to Hepatitis B or evidence that you are not Hepatitis B e antigen positive. This must have been obtained in the last 6 months
Ability to fulfil the requirements of the post
3 years postgraduate training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care to include 6 months Intensive Care training (minimum) and 1 year of Anaesthesia (minimum)
Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
Flexible and the ability to work well in a team environment
Has an awareness of risk management

ATLS qualified
APLS qualified
Experience of working in the UK
Welsh Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above
Has experience of incident reporting and investigations
