Central Manchester: Ashville Surgery Looking for a salaried GP for 2 sessions per week. We are a friendly, supportive, 3 partner training practice, committed to delivering high quality care in Chorlton and Whalley Range. We need a committed and enthusiastic GP to join our team. We are a harmonious team who enjoy our work.

The post holder will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients in a primary care setting. Duties include consulting with patients, diagnosing and managing a wide range of health conditions, prescribing medications, referring to specialist services where appropriate, and contributing to the ongoing management of chronic diseases. The role also involves supporting preventative health measures, maintaining accurate clinical records, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective patient care.

About us There has been a GP practice on Upper Chorlton Road since the early 20th century, originally run from a house opposite our current premises the first doctor even did his rounds by horse and carriage! In 1970, the practice moved to 240 Upper Chorlton Road, but outgrew the space. In April 1998, we relocated to 171 Upper Chorlton Road. A patients research revealed the building was once called Ashville, hence the name Ashville Surgery. Five years ago, we became the first practice in Manchester to use AskmyGP, which has transformed patient access and helped us manage modern-day pressures more effectively. Our large common room is often used for remote consultations, encouraging informal collaboration and shared learning with plenty of coffee and conversation! We hold regular clinical and organisational meetings, involving the whole team in decision-making where possible. We're actively involved in GP federation and PCN work. Our excellent support team includes nurses, healthcare assistants, and trainee nurse practitioners.
