CONSULTANT ORAL SURGEON

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented consultants to join our team to develop and deliver excellent care to our local population. The department offers a supportive and encouraging environment in which to develop as a professional. Following a period of time where the oral surgery service was paused, we are delighted to be able not to reopen the service for both adult and paediatric patients. We are seeking to recruit a team directly employed by Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. This post has been created to support the reopening of oral surgery at Stockport Foundation Trust, following a pause in the service. The service is now ready to reopen and will be located in our new outpatient building with a dedicated team of dental nurses. The appointed candidate is expected to be fully competent to deal with a spectrum of oral surgery patients, there is no on call for this service at the current time.

The appointment to this post has two main aims: o To join a new team that provides consultant led patient-centred management of Oral Surgical conditions. o To be a part of developing the service to deliver maximum impact to improve the wait times and experience of patients requiring oral surgery. The appointee will be expected to share responsibility for the delivery of high-quality care to the patients presenting to the Department. o To provide direct care to patients in both outpatient and day case sessions. o To advise junior colleagues as required.
