About the role
An exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our team. The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner for a GMS, SystmOne practice, responsible for the provision of safe, effective, and compassionate medical services to the practice population. List size of 10,000 in an expanding town. We pride ourselves on being a successful Training practice. Tier 3 accredited research practice Large MDT including Lead Nurse/HCAs, 2 x pharmacists plus ARRS support from PCN Correspondence management team means letters kept to a minimum. Low numbers of home visits, cover one care home. Pro rata share of Total Triage On Call sessions Routine surgery max. 13 patients Rated Good by CQC. the leadership, governance and culture were used to drive and improve the delivery of high quality person centred care. Supportive team with high levels of pastoral care. Half of our GPs trained with us. Flexible about where and how you work. Mixture of WFH and on site, telephone consultations and F2F Young (ish!) team that understands the importance of family life and prioritising work-life balance. Partners have 12 young children between them Regular clinical meetings with external speakers and lunch provided to catch up as a team and keep up to date Actively encouraged to contribute to running of practice with regular business meetings (more lunch provided!) Social events throughout the year for whole team including families. Happy to provide a preceptorship for newly qualified GPs
Delivering safe, effective, patient-centred medical care across the full range of general practice services. Providing services commensurate with the GMS contract and local commissioning requirements. Prescribing in line with national and local formulary guidance. Managing acute and chronic conditions, including proactive long term condition reviews. Processing clinical administration in a timely manner (e.g., referrals, prescriptions, pathology results). Participating in the duty doctor and telephone triage rota. Maintaining accurate, legible, and contemporaneous clinical records. Participating in the equitable sharing of practice workload. Engaging with audit, QOF, IIF, and clinical governance processes. Attending and contributing to practice meetings (e.g., clinical, safeguarding, M&M, SEA). Undertaking appraisals, revalidation, and maintaining up-to-date professional registration. Contributing to the training of medical students and other healthcare learners. Supporting practice development, income optimisation, and efficiency initiatives. Promoting a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement. Ensuring all mandatory training and professional competencies are up to date.
