Consultant Haematologist

Build your consultant career in one of Wales' most distinctive regions, joining a supportive Haematology team delivering care across Mid and West Wales. We are seeking a Consultant Haematologist to join Hywel Dda University Health Board. Based at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth, this role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative service while contributing specialist expertise to a well-established team serving communities across four hospital sites. Our team of consultants provides a comprehensive haematology service across West Wales, supporting a broad and varied patient population. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering high-quality General Haematology services while helping to strengthen and develop subspecialist expertise within the wider department. Based primarily at Bronglais Hospital, the postholder will work closely with colleagues across the Health Board's hospital network, contributing to a cohesive and patient-centred service. Support for the role includes a Specialty Doctor, Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Specialist Haematology Pharmacists, providing a strong multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering the best possible care.

Clinical - The appointee should be able to demonstrate experience in the management of all Haematological conditions. The successful candidate will be able to develop a subspecialty across the health board and working alongside the other consultants to contribute to subspecialisation teams.
