About the role
The Gynaecological Oncology Department is looking for a full-time Locum Consultant for 8 weeks in Gynaecology with an interest in Gynaecological Oncology. The post holder will be expected to provide specialist Gynaecological Oncology unit services at Guy's and St Thomas' sites. Experience and a demonstrated ability of diagnosing Gynaecological Malignancy, performing out-patient ambulatory management of women with abnormal vaginal bleeding, diagnostic and therapeutic colposcopy, diagnostic surgery to identify gynaecological malignancy. Experience of research, audit and working within a well-established Gynaecological Oncology multidisciplinary team will be a requirement for the post. This is an excellent opportunity to join a first class team in an active and progressive central London teaching hospital environment.
This job is anticipated to contain 10 Programmed Activities per week on average to be carried out on Guy's & St Thomas' sites and includes on-call commitments and Saturday work. This post will provide the appointee with extensive experience in the Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) service.
