Essential

Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCT
BSCCP Accreditation/ ATSM Colposcopy
Full UK GMC registration and a Licence to Practise Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within six months of the date of the AAC MRCOG or equivalent specialist qualification
Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register
MRCOG or equivalent specialist qualification
A commitment to and evidence of multidisciplinary practice
A team approach to care and service management, including appreciation of nursing and therapy roles.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with colleagues; clinical and non-clinical, patients and their carers/relatives.
Ability to manage Gynaecological Emergencies
Ability to perform outpatient ambulatory diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy
Understanding of principles of audit and its use to drive service improvement
Experience of service innovation and/or development
Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff
Research experience, with documentation of publications Experience of contributing to clinical trials

ATSM/SITM Gynaecological Oncology or prior experience working in a Gynaecological Oncology Unit post
Experience in Benign abdominal surgery -open and laparoscopic
Experience in Benign Gynaecological Surgery - Hysteroscopy
Training in advanced ultrasound skills for assessment of pelvic masses
Subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology
Other relevant postgraduate qualifications e.g. MD, PhD, MS, MSc. In Gynaecology
Experience of managing clinical governance targets e.g. CNST
Experience of achieving quality targets e.g. CQIN, KC65
