About the role
This is a new exciting opportunity as a one-year appointment as a Foot and Ankle fellow for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The Foot and Ankle Unit at ULHT has four substantive Consultants. The Fellowship is run by Mr Ashok Marudanayagam, Mr Harish Kurup, Mr Nijil Vasukutty and Mr Munier Hossain and there will be an opportunity to work with all of the foot and ankle Consultants. The team sees a wide range of elective foot and ankle cases, including ankle replacement, diabetic foot management and complex foot deformity corrections as well as specialist trauma referrals such as complex trimalleolar fractures and Lisfranc fractures.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to continue to develop their sub-specialty interest, contribute to diabetic network and also to the general work of the department including a strong teaching commitment, clinical management and effective team working.
You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and ideally have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Orthopaedic Surgery or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. We would welcome informal enquiries about this post to.
