Consultant Audiological Physician

We are seeking a Consultant Audiological Physician to join our established Audiology and ENT service within Hywel Dda University Health Board. This is an opportunity to work collaboratively with clinical, medical, professional and managerial colleagues to provide high-quality, patient-centred care whilst contributing to the ongoing development of Audiovestibular Medicine services across the Health Board.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis and management of paediatric and adult patients with hearing and balance disorders, including infants identified through the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, children with permanent hearing impairment requiring diagnostic evaluation, and adults presenting with tinnitus, progressive hearing loss, vertigo, balance disorders and unexplained audiological symptoms. Working closely with colleagues across ENT, Paediatrics, Audiology, Therapy Services, Primary Care and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective and coordinated care.

Deliver a comprehensive Audiovestibular Medicine service for paediatric and adult patients across Hywel Dda University Health Board, providing specialist assessment, diagnosis and management of hearing and balance disorders.

Assess and manage infants identified through the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, children with permanent hearing impairment requiring diagnostic evaluation, and adults presenting with tinnitus, progressive hearing loss, unexplained audiological symptoms, vertigo, balance disorders and falls.
