About the role
The role provides an excellent opportunity for operating under consultant lead supervision, particularly relating to day case trauma and elective cases, at registrar level. There is also a requirement as appropriate to support inpatient elective cases, this is predominantly for Head & Neck and cases relating to the breast reconstruction service and elective day case procedures. During the post you will rotate through a variety of subspecialities.
The timetable is made on a six weekly rolling basis with other registrars, to cover elective and acute work of the department which include taking part in outpatient clinics, ward cover, ward rounds, inpatient surgery and day-surgery theatres. All medical staff may be required to work on any of the Trust's sites and across a seven day period. The role requires participation on the speciality registrar on-call rota on a 1:7 basis
