We are seeking forward-thinking Consultant Geriatricians who want more than a traditional consultant role. This is an opportunity to become a key architect of the future of frailty, Parkinson's disease, stroke and community-based eldercare services across Cornwall. Working within a progressive and highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will have the freedom to shape services, develop new pathways and drive innovation across acute, community and integrated care settings. Whether your passion is acute frailty, orthogeriatrics, movement disorders, dementia, stroke, community geriatrics or surgical liaison, we will support you to develop and grow your specialist interests.
Be Part of a Service Redesigning Care for Older People Our vision goes beyond hospital walls. From our award-winning frailty model and dedicated Frailty Take service, through to community rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease services, stroke care and integrated multidisciplinary working, we are creating seamless pathways that deliver the right care, in the right place, at the right time. As a Consultant Geriatrician at RCHT, you will have the opportunity to: Lead service transformation and quality improvement initiatives. Develop pioneering approaches to frailty and complex care. Shape emerging specialties such as surgical liaison and perioperative medicine. Influence countywide care pathways alongside primary care, community and social care partners. Participate in research and innovation programmes, particularly within Parkinson's disease and frailty services.
