About the role
One Health is looking for a Consultant Urologist to support and grow the One Health Group's Urology Service across South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar role in either an NHS or independent healthcare setting. You will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment. Applicants should meet the following requirements: Currently hold a substantive NHS Consultant post OR have been in a long-term locum Consultant post (more than 12 months). If not currently in an NHS post, have previously held a substantive NHS Consultant position for a minimum of three years. Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise. Be included on the GMC Specialist Register for Urology. Have no current GMC restrictions, warnings or fitness to practise concerns. Hold FRCS (Urol) or equivalent recognised specialist qualification.
This role will involve assessing and treating NHS patients referred to One Health via the NHS e-Referral Service. Outpatient appointments will be delivered across a network of outreach clinic sites throughout South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will provide specialist urological assessment and management, including undertaking appropriate diagnostic investigations and surgical procedures within independent sector hospitals utilised by One Health. The Consultant must therefore be prepared to travel between clinic and hospital locations as required.
