About the role
There has never been a more exciting time to join Devon Partnership NHS Trust, an organisation committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of people across Devon and beyond.
As one of the leading providers of mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity services in the Southwest, the Trust is focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred care while embracing innovation, evidence-based practice and continuous improvement. The Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Innovations and Effectiveness will provide senior clinical leadership to our clinical effectiveness agenda, helping to translate research, evidence, audit, NICE guidance and learning into measurable improvements in outcomes, quality and experience.
Working collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Executive, clinical leaders and partners, this is an opportunity to shape how we develop, evaluate and embed innovative approaches across our services. You will champion excellent clinical practice, strengthen the use of evidence and outcomes to drive improvement, and support a culture in which innovation, learning and clinical leadership flourish. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious medical leader who wants to influence the future of care and make a meaningful difference for patients, carers and communities across Devon.
External applicants are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be appointed to a substantive Consultant post, with the Deputy CMO responsibilities offered on a fixed two-year tenure.
