Barts Health NHS Trust Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine 10 PA X3 Posts Whipps Cross Hospital Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust Group is looking for a full time (10PA) Consultant Physician in Acute Medicine & Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) for 12-month fixed term period, with a view to extend to a substantive role. Person specification

Essential

Must hold MBChB, MBBS or equivalent degree
Must hold MRCP
Must hold full GMC Registration with license to practice
Higher specialist training in General Internal Medicine and/or Acute Medicine
Evidence of clinical experience (including acting up) at Consultant level in General Internal Medicine and/or Acute Medicine
Demonstrable General Internal Medicine knowledge at the level of a Consultant Physician
Evidence of participation in clinical audit and/or quality improvement
Evidence of a commitment to life-long learning / continuing professional development (CPD)
Evidence of an understanding of clinical governance and applying the principles/regulations in clinical practice
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
Experience teaching medical and nursing colleagues.
Evidence of effective written communication skills.
Evidence of taking additional professional responsibilities at local, regional or national level
Experience working under pressure
Demonstrates problem solving skills
Attendance on management or leadership course

Desirable

Author of a peer reviewed publication or conference abstract
A higher degree (MD, PhD)
Evidence of clinical experience in SDEC or ambulatory care
Evidence of developing a teaching program
Evidence of participation in research projects and/or supervising research
