Consultant Rheumatologist - Preston (10PA) Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Rheumatologist at the Minerva Health Centre in Preston. The post is full time (10 PAs) and offered as a substantive contract.
The Rheumatology Service in Central Lancashire is an established community-based service. The Minerva Health Centre provides accommodation for a range of community teams and services that provide ongoing treatment and care to people with long-term conditions. The service is part of an Integrated Musculoskeletal Service which includes rheumatology, MSK, physiotherapy, community pain and CFS service. In-reach is provided to the local acute trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic consultant colleague to join this forward thinking, dynamic team. There is an extensive multi-disciplinary team consisting of four Consultant Rheumatologists, a Consultant Physiotherapist, five Clinical Nurse Specialists, two Occupational Therapists, two Physiotherapists and a dedicated Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician. Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC and have a License to Practice, hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within 6 months of attaining CCT at the time of interview.
The role: 2 SPAs as standard for a full time post (we would be flexible in looking at enhancements to support other activities that support the wider ambitions of the Trust). Excellent peer support group Study leave budget of £3000 over 3 years or up to £5000 over 3 years for newly qualified Consultants Opportunities to be a clinical supervisor Relocation package available.
