Consultant Paediatrician with interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team of consultant paediatricians within Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The post holder will provide consultant leadership for children and young people with diabetes and endocrine disorders in South Buckinghamshire, contributing to the Trust's successful paediatric diabetes service and maintaining national quality standards. In addition, they will undertake general paediatric and neonatal responsibilities, participate in the consultant on-call rota, and support the delivery of high-quality acute paediatric care across both hospital sites. This is a full time (10 PA) substantive post with cross site working delivering outpatient clinics at Wycombe Hospital, Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Amersham Hospital. Clinical Responsibilities The successful candidate will join a team of consultants and undertake inpatient and outpatient work in Neonates and General Paediatrics including inpatients and children admitted to the observation ward. These clinical areas have day on call (attending weeks). On call activities are on a pro-rata basis. In addition to the general paediatrics this post holder will also have specialist clinics in diabetes to ensure we continue to meet the standards to achieve the best practice tariff.
