Consultant Physician –Endocrinology,Diabetes&General Internal Medicine

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Endocrinologist to join our dynamic department following a retirement vacancy. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art University Hospital alongside 11 substantive Endocrinology and Diabetes Consultants, delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient Endocrinology and Metabolism services across University Hospital Coventry and St Cross Hospital, Rugby. The successful candidate will also contribute to the General Internal Medicine (GIM) inpatient rota. This post supports the Trust's wider strategic development and offers a unique opportunity to join the well-established Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET) Service at UHCW NHS Trust, a European Neuroendocrine Tumour Centre of Excellence accredited by the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (ENETS). The successful appointee will become part of the specialist NET multidisciplinary team, working closely with colleagues in hepatobiliary surgery, biochemistry, cardiothoracic surgery, respiratory medicine, radiology and nuclear medicine. The service manages over 150 new referrals annually and provides ongoing care for more than 900 patients. Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining CCT/CESR(CP) at the time of interview.
