Salaried GP

Kingswood Medical Centre in Basildon are seeking a salaried GP to work 3-4 sessions per week at our friendly practice. We are looking for the successful applicant to work on a Thursday all day, and either a Monday or Friday afternoon. Newly qualified GPs are welcome to apply. We are flexible with hours/sessions required and would welcome any discussion about working pattern. We also offer a generous salary for the post based on experience, negotiable. Newly qualified GPs are welcome to apply. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you would be supported by the senior clinicians, if required, and an accomplished admin team. We would be receptive to any special interests that the candidate may wish to pursue.

Undertaking a variety of duties including face to face, telephone or video consultations, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients. Providing health education. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards using templates provided (Ardens). Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements. Delivering enhanced services in conjunction with the clinical team. All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
