About the role
One Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Hip & Knee Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our surgical team at the One Health Elective Surgery Hub, North Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an established and expanding independent healthcare provider delivering high-quality elective surgical services for NHS patients. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert hip and knee orthopaedic care, supporting service development, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient outcomes within a dedicated elective surgery environment. This is a full-time employed position, working Monday to Friday, based primarily at: One Health Elective Surgery Hub North Lincolnshire Warren Road SCUNTHORPE DN15 6XH Salary will be in line with the NHS Consultant pay scale, depending on experience.
Applicants should be experienced substantive NHS Consultants, be included on the GMC Specialist Register, and hold unrestricted GMC registration and licence to practise.
The role will involve providing comprehensive hip and knee orthopaedic services for NHS patients referred to One Health. Key responsibilities include: Delivering outpatient assessment, diagnosis and management of hip and knee conditions. Undertaking elective hip and knee surgical procedures in line with national standards, best practice and agreed clinical pathways. Providing pre and post-operative follow-up care. Working collaboratively with anaesthetic, nursing and wider multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient care. Supporting the development and expansion of orthopaedic services within One Health. Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation. Producing high-quality clinic letters, operative notes and patient reports. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical case discussions. Ensuring compliance with GMC standards, clinical governance requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks. Contributing to audit, quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation activities. Supervising and supporting clinical colleagues where appropriate. Participating in the appraisal and revalidation process.
