SAS Doctor Breast Screening

We are seeking to appoint a Breast Radiology Specialist Grade doctor to join our friendly Radiology Team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. Bolton has recently been voted the best place to work in Greater Manchester in the national staff survey and we are proud of our fantastic team of staff. Due to the increasing workload in our Bolton Breast Unit, we are looking to expand our clinical team and grow our services. The successful candidate will be based at the Royal Bolton Hospital. Applicants must have a basic medical qualification MBChB/MBBS or equivalent full registration and a licence to practice with the General Medical Council Obtained FRCR Part I and preparing for Part II.

A Specialist Grade doctor will work autonomously to a level of defined competencies set out by mutual agreement, providing direct clinical care and meeting service delivery and improvement requirements.

Bolton Breast Unit is located in the main hospital and is equipped with Mammography, Tomosynthesis, ultrasound and all relevant breast interventions including 7G VAE. We are in the process of setting up Contrast Enhanced Mammography.

The successful candidate will join our team and work in the screening assessment clinics and symptomatic new patient clinics. You will attend and present in the Breast multidisciplinary meetings. Bolton Breast Unit actively participates in training and we regularly have Breast registrars, trainee mammographers and medical students.
