Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist with an interest in Oculo-plastics

This 12 month locum role is a fantastic opportunity for Ophthalmology doctors with a special interest in Oculo-plastics . The Locum will provide high-quality care for patients through outpatient clinics, surgical interventions, and treatments. In addition to clinical work, the role includes review of casualty patients and general ophthalmology patient reviews, teaching, research, service development, and contribution to clinical governance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the continuing care & treatment of patients in your charge & personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan Responsible for the professional supervision, training & management of junior medical staff and allied health professionals, carrying out teaching, examination & accreditation duties as required & contributing to postgraduate & CPD activity locally & nationally as appropriate. Participate in clinical audit. Commitment to taking part in annual appraisal process. Responsible for compliance with personal continuing professional development requirements with the support of the Trust. It is mandatory for all Medical Staff to keep up to date with evidence based practice. Responsible for maintaining awareness of & acting in accordance with professional guidelines such as "Duties of a Doctor", "Good Medical Practice", & the "GMC Performance Procedures" . In exceptional requirements to undertake additional duties for limited periods within the Trust
