Job title: General Practitioner Location: Lucas Avenue Practice Salary: Up to £108,000 depending on experience Hours: 4 sessions per week (full-days Mondays & Thursdays) Lucas Avenue Practice is a well-established NHS GP surgery based in Plaistow, East London, providing primary healthcare services to patients across Newham and the surrounding communities. The practice offers a wide range of services including routine GP appointments, chronic disease management, womens health, childhood immunisations, health screening, mental health support, family planning, and preventative care. The practice is supported by a multidisciplinary team of GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, care coordinators, and administrative staff who are committed to delivering accessible, patient-centred care. The surgery is also an accredited GP training practice, supporting the development of future healthcare professionals. Lucas Avenue Practice is rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care while continually improving patient access and services.
As a General Practitioner at Lucas Avenue Practice, you will deliver high-quality clinical care to the patients registered and attending the GP surgery. You will work closely with the clinical leads and local practice team to support the delivery of the surgeries operational plan. You are expected to maintain quality within the practice, ensuring participation in clinical governance activity. You will contribute to the improvement in quality health outcomes through audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework. You will provide clinical care to patients as described in the job plan and in line with the total triage model. This will include consultation sessions (both in person and by video), telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews and prescription signing, and other clinical administration. Working with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to support the development, delivery, and review of the surgery action plan, including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, and more.
