Consultant in Anaesthesia (YC72)

Due to a resignation of the previous postholder, we are currently advertising for a Substantive Consultant Anaesthetist. This post is for 10 programmed activities. The post holder will be expected to participate in a 1:10 on-call rota. A breakdown of the draft job plan for the post is included in the information pack.

The post offers the opportunity to work in a small, ACSA accredited department in an award winning hospital in an area of outstanding natural beauty within the heart of England in the rolling countryside near Skipton and Ilkley, close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The successful applicant will be expected to work as part of a team of Consultants and will be required to contribute to the ongoing development of the Department of Anaesthesia at Airedale Hospital.

Applicants must -

be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK. (If you are a trainee, currently on a UK training programme, and are not yet on the specialist register, please provide details of your expected CCT date on your application form) Or

be an associate specialist within the UK and able to demonstrate ability to work at consultant level via CV and interview.
