About the role
We are looking for a GP to join our friendly and supportive practice team for 4 sessions per week. We pride ourselves on having a genuine whole team approach where everyones contribution is valued equally. We work closely together across clinical and non-clinical teams to provide the best possible care for our patients and create a positive working environment for staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who enjoys teamwork, open communication, and positive working environment. You will be joining a practice that supports professional development, encourages new ideas, and understands the importance of work life balance.
Our GPs provide high quality general medical services to the practice population of 8,200 patients, undertaking face to face and telephone consultations. We provide home visits where necessary however having access to PCN paramedics and admissions avoidance teams means these are rare. The patient list is allocated on a sessional basis to support continuity with tasks, correspondence, results, and general workflow management however patients remain free to choose which GP they see, and we actively support patient choice and flexible access across the wider clinical team. We work collaboratively with the additional roles available to the practice and engage in multidisciplinary discussions to ensure patients receive the best care.
Our practice team consists of 3 Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, and a highly skilled Patient Services Team who are trained in quality care navigation to ensure patients are directed to the right service at the right time. We work closely together as one team, with a supportive and collaborative culture where every role is equally valued and respected. We are proud of the friendly and approachable atmosphere within the practice. We promote open communication, teamwork, and shared decision making across both clinical and non clinical staff. Clinicians benefit from daily coffee catch ups which provide an opportunity for informal support, discussion, and team connection, and we also enjoy social events together, including our annual Christmas party. We offer online consultations where this suits patient preference, however we strongly value personal communication and therefore do not push patients towards a purely digital model. We believe that speaking directly with patients and colleagues often provides the most effective and rewarding approach to care. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, welcoming, and genuinely supportive practice where staff wellbeing, teamwork, and high quality patient care are central to everything we do.
