Salaried GP

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Salaried GP, to join our established team here at Handforth Health Centre for 3.75 sessions per week. Ideal for portfolio careers. We provide the full range of NHS General Medical Services to our registered patients, and our aim is to provide personalised, quality healthcare. As a Salaried GP, you will be supported by, and work with, a diverse multi-skilled professional team of clinical and non-clinical friendly staff, providing high quality, person-centred, holistic clinical care to patients registered within the practice. This is a permanent role subject to ongoing ARRS funding arrangements.

As a Salaried GP you will be expected to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, doing triage, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Your weekdays will include working Wednesdays and Fridays. Furthermore, you will be expected to undertake duty doctor sessions in proportion to your sessions at the practice.

Handforth Health Centre is a well-established practice with approximately 10,500 patients. We are part of CHAW PCN (Chelford, Handforth Alderley Edge and Wilmslow practices) and work closely with the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB. We have 4 GP partners, 5 salaried GPs, 2, ACPs, 2 Practice Nurses and 3 HCA. In addition, we have a large admin and reception team using their experience to provide workflow optimisation and efficiencies to release clinical time, all supported by an experienced forward thinking Practice Management team.
