Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon (with interest in Paediatrics)

We are seeking to appoint a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in Paediatric Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will be fellowship trained and have the skills and experience to manage the full spectrum of trauma and orthopaedic conditions. This is a full-time post with participation in the Consultant on-call rota and the post is available to start as soon as possible.

The postholder will play a key role in delivering and networking orthopaedic services across Lancashire, working collaboratively with regional partners to support the development of cohesive, high-quality trauma and orthopaedic care. The successful applicant will complement the existing team of established consultants and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) within the Trauma and Orthopaedics Directorate. . The appointment will be made subject to the Trust's Terms and Conditions of Service. The post will include clinical sessions at both Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and Burnley General Teaching Hospital, and the successful applicant will be expected to contribute fully to both elective and emergency services.
