Nurse Consultant- Approved Clinician

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Consultant and Approved Clinician in our Acute Inpatient Women's Service. The service consists of 2 wards, each with 22 beds, (Ward 1 and Ward 5 Becklin Centre) that deliver high quality acute mental health care to women in Leeds. The postholder will act as Responsible Clinician on Ward 1 alongside a Consultant Psychiatrist taking on an equal caseload and will be a non-medical prescriber. This model is already successfully embedded in Ward 5 which enhances the multi-disciplinary clinical leadership of the ward and promotes a psychological and trauma-informed approach to care.

The post offers additional opportunities that reflect the core functions of a Nurse Consultant including professional leadership and consultancy, education training and development and a practice and service development, research and evaluation.
