About the role
Join the team at Silverdale Medical Practice as a Salaried GP and become part of a supportive, forward-thinking and highly experienced multidisciplinary team serving approximately 12,700 patients within Swinton Primary Care Network in Salford. We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient-focused GP to join us for 4 sessions per week on Tuesdays and Fridays on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent thereafter dependent on funding. At Silverdale, we pride ourselves on strong teamwork, daily clinical collaboration and a genuinely supportive culture where clinicians are valued and listened to. You will work alongside experienced GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Pharmacists, Nurses and a highly skilled management and administrative team committed to delivering high quality patient care. We are a progressive practice using EMIS Web, Accurx and modern digital systems, with a strong focus on quality improvement, continuity of care and innovation in primary care. We actively support professional development, wellbeing and flexible team working. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking a welcoming and stable practice environment with the chance to influence and shape services locally whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The successful applicant will provide high quality primary medical care through a mixture of face-to-face, telephone and online consultations. Duties will include the assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, reviewing pathology and clinical correspondence, prescribing safely and maintaining accurate clinical records using EMIS Web. The role includes working closely with our wider multidisciplinary team including GP Partners, Advanced Practitioners, Pharmacists, Nurses and Care Coordinators to provide safe, effective and patient-centred care. There will also be opportunities to contribute to practice development and quality improvement work.
