About the role
The Westway Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 6 sessions per week. We are a well-established GMS practice based in Shepherd's Bush, West London, serving a diverse patient population of approximately 5,300 patients. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while maintaining a positive and collaborative working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced GP or a newly qualified GP looking to develop their career within a supportive practice. You will work alongside experienced clinicians, nursing staff, healthcare assistants, pharmacists and a dedicated administrative team. The practice uses SystmOne and benefits from strong support through the North Hammersmith & Fulham Primary Care Network. We are looking for a clinician who is committed to providing excellent patient care, works well within a multidisciplinary team and is keen to contribute to the ongoing development of the practice. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £11,000£12,000 per session depending on experience, NHS Pension Scheme membership, regular clinical meetings, supportive management and opportunities for professional development.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care through a mixture of face-to-face, telephone and online consultations. In addition to routine clinical sessions, the role will include reviewing pathology results, processing clinical correspondence, reviewing hospital letters and managing workflow tasks in a timely manner. The post-holder will participate in the practice duty doctor rota, providing clinical support to the wider practice team, managing urgent patient queries and assisting with same-day demand where required. There will also be responsibility for repeat prescribing, medicines management queries, referral reviews, safeguarding concerns and liaising with community and secondary care services. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, nursing staff, healthcare assistants and administrative colleagues, to ensure patients receive safe, effective and coordinated care. The role offers a varied and rewarding workload within a supportive practice environment, with opportunities to contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and the ongoing delivery of excellent primary care services.
