Resident Medical Officer (FTC)

The postholder will be working Monday to Friday with daytime clinical duties on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday covering both Sunrise Ward and New Dawn Ward (floating support). Participation in the local resident on-call rota: Resident weekday on-call Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (5:00 pm 9:00 am). Resident weekend on-call approximately two weekends in every four-week rota (Friday 5:00 pm Monday 9:00 am). This is an exciting opportunity to work across two highly specialised inpatient psychiatric, offering excellent exposure to complex psychiatry within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will work across a (20 female beds):

Sunrise Ward (10 beds) is a specialist Eating Disorders ward providing assessment and treatment for adults with severe eating disorders requiring inpatient care. New Dawn Ward (9 beds) is a Tier 4 specialist Personality Disorder service delivering psychologically informed treatment for adults with complex emotional and relational difficulties.

The successful candidate will provide daytime medical cover across Sunrise Ward and New Dawn Ward on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (days to be agreed with the other two Speciality Doctors). Key responsibilities include:
