About the role

Applications are invited for a Consultant in Histopathology.The post holder(s) will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department, whilst the opportunity is available to develop specialist interests. The post is based at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate(s) will join a friendly team dedicated to providing a first-class patient-centred service. The laboratory is accredited to UKAS (ISO 15189:2022), with a brand new laboratory which opened in 2022. The department has a fantastic mortuary facility (built in 2011) and holds a HTA licence. The post will be based at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS FT. Employed by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals to provide the One Pathology Service across the region. You will work in close co-operation with, and support other clinical, medical, professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trust's patients.
