EssentialExperience:

Eligible to work in General Practice in the NHS

Desirable:

Experience as a GP educator.

Experience of appraisal in practice or other setting.

Additional clinical skills beyond general practice

Knowledge & Skills:

Willing to successfully complete appropriate training for appraisal and remain up to date with the developing GP Appraisal, relicensing and revalidation agenda.

To deal with sensitive information in a tactful way.

To be able to demonstrate on-going personal and practice development.

To have a facilitative approach.

To discuss difficult areas sensitively and diplomatically with patients.

Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, face to face and active listening skills.

Recognise peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly.

Computer skills; Microsoft Word & email

Use of EMIS web clinical system database

Administration skills - organised and efficient in record keeping for timely completion of post appraisal paperwork and claims.

Should be a car driver with a clean licence and access to a vehicle at all times
