Consultant Ophthalmologist with interest in Oculoplastics

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Ophthalmologist within the Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Cataract service. This is a substantive 8.0 PA, consultant post.

We have a well-established oculoplastic service with high volume periocular skin cancer and lid malposition surgery. Endoscopic, endonasal and external lacrimal surgery is carried out both with and without assistance of ENT colleagues. There is a 6 weekly joint thyroid clinic with a consultant in endocrinology and orthoptic input and the majority of orbital cases are also managed locally. Research is encouraged and there have been regular prospective trials. We do reserve the right to close this advertisement early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications

If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
