About the role
Join us in leafy Stoke Newington N16, Hackney, London for a SALARIED GP job at Barton House Group Practice. To start ASAP but with flexibility for the right candidate, for 4 sessions. 2 sessions need to be on Tuesdays, flexibility to discuss the remaining sessions.
T and Cs include: 11k/session, with pro-rata 6 weeks annual leave / 1 week study leave. Maximum 1 session duty doc/ week, 14 patients per session (7 tel slots 7 f2f slots), no extras or walk-ins. 30 mins (2 patients) extended hours per week (with 2 blocked slots in the session before or after to compensate). We are a total triage GP practice. With a GP with receptionist buddy triaging cases. Triage is performed by both partners and salaried GPs as part of duty session.
We have a paper-light system with significant sifting and triage of documents by admin so clinicians receive only those that need to be seen by them, as well as 3 pharmacists and a pharmacy technician helping with medicines management, along with Practice-employed Counsellors who are able to provide a service (free to our patients) that isn't otherwise available locally on the NHS, and the usual complement of social prescribers and other AHPs.
We're a biggish Training practice of just over 12000 patients, friendly and welcoming, and always happy to share expertise between us. We are very collaborative team always discussing cases and sharing learning on a daily basis. We can also offer mentoring to any newly trained or other GPs who would like a little additional support. We have weekly clinical meetings. We're right in the heart of Stokey, 2 mins walk from the lovely local shops / cafes /restaurants and also to leafy Clissold Park. We also have our own garden where we can sit outside for lunch on sunny days! We have our own car park for staff and bike shed. We are part of the Cycle to Work scheme that allows tax-free bike purchases by our staff. Our GPs have a variety of clinical interests and hold a variety of CCG roles; we are a Training Practice and currently have 3 GP Trainees. We also have medical students from Barts Medical School. We are keen to support the development of any special interests you may have. Our patient cohort is genuinely very diverse; you really never know who you are going to talk to next!
