Consultant Radiologist GIGU Body and Interventional Imaging

Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Body and GIGU Interventional Imaging This is a consultant post in Imaging, Clinical Support & Imaging Services Clinical Management Group (CSI CMG). The new post holder will join an established team of GIGU interventional radiologists. The post holder will be expected to work closely in the team with the existing radiologists to support the continuing development of imaging within UHL as a whole. The post holder will join the existing Gastro intestinal and Genitourinary (GI GU) IR on call rota and provide GI GU interventional radiology services to the UHL. It is expected that the post holder will also provide GIGU diagnostic imaging. The appointment will be whole time. Any consultant who is unable for personal reasons, to work whole time, will be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis in consultation with consultant colleagues. A major refurbishment programme of all Trust MRI and CT scanners has recently been completed ensuring the latest technology is available.The service has strong links to academic and other radiology departments; the opportunity to be involved in research is available for interested candidates. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and clinical governance.
