About the role
We are looking for experienced, motivated, and patient-centred General Practitioners to provide high-quality clinical services on a self-employed basis. Join our dynamic team, delivering care to patients across Out-of-Hours settings. If you are a GP who is committed to supporting patients with urgent care needs and, are looking for an autonomous role with a betterwork/life balance, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with us within our OOH service. This independent role will give you the opportunity to enhance your skills and experience, alongside delivering high quality urgent care. Our clinics are located across Somerset in Taunton, Bridgewater, Yeovil, Shepton Mallet.
Uphold the principles of the General Medical Council's "Good Medical Practice" by representing HUC and the NHS professionally, ensuring consistency and the sharing of best practices across clinical services. Make independent, professional decisions to address individual patient issues effectively. Evaluate and address the healthcare needs of patients presenting with undiagnosed or undefined conditions. Maintain accurate, clear, and timely consultation records in line with agreed professional standards. Prescribe treatments appropriately, adhering to the HUC prescribing formulary. Manage case lists proactively to minimize reliance on face-to-face services, including ambulance referrals, A&E visits, urgent care centres, and out-of-hours services. Ensure all cases are handled promptly, providing patient support or reallocating cases if delays occur. Collaborate closely with operational managers on duty to deliver seamless services and achieve clinical and quality outcome. Adhere to safeguarding protocols and uphold best practices in clinical governance.
