About the role
An exciting opportunity to specialise in the field of Renal and Cochlear Implant Psychology based at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd has arisen due to the departure of the existing post holder. The post holder will be required to undertake clinical work within the Renal (0.3wte) and Cochlear Implant Services (0.1 wte) in (BCUHB Central), working directly and indirectly with patients, families and staff members. Service development, audit and evaluation will be key aspects of the role.
Within the Renal Service you will co-lead with another Consultant Clinical Psychologist colleague to develop the Pan BCUHB Renal Clinical Psychologist Service. Within the Cochlear Implant Service you will have sole lead responsibility for developing this service across BCUHB. This service is for young people and adults- age 11+ years. The role will additionally involve being jointly and solely responsible for the governance of the Renal and Cochlear Implant Service across BCUHB, including becoming the professional and line manager for more junior psychologists within these services. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
