Only Post CCT applicants Need Apply The post holder will be expected to carry out surgery, as well as provide expertise in the diagnosis, assessment and on-going management of oesophagogastric cancer and general surgery patients. This one year programmed in General and Upper GI will provided training and experience in all aspects of care for patients. the postholder will be supervised by Mr Tarig Abdelrahman, Lead Consultant Surgeon for Upper GI and will work with the Upper GI Surgeons associated with the programme. On completion of this programme it is anticipated that the trainee will have skills appropriate to a Surgeon with a special interest in Upper GI. The one year programme is based at the University Hospital of Wales. The post is subject to review after six months and continuation in the post is dependent upon satisfactory performance.
