Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon

A full time 10PA Consultant in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery for Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the King's Mill Hospital, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, is required. This post will be focussed on oncoplastic breast surgery and as such the candidate must have proven experience in this field. The post holder may also be required to undertake planned surgery and outpatient clinics at Newark Hospital which is also part of the trust.

The appointee will join an existing multi-disciplinary team providing a comprehensive Breast Service to central North Nottinghamshire and, in particular, the residents of Mansfield, Ashfield and Newark Districts.

The post holder will demonstrate a wide range of skills and will be required to work flexibly within the department and across two sites. The successful candidate will be expected to be aware of local policies and procedures and comply with the standing orders and standing financial instructions of this Trust. In particular, where the consultant manages employees of the Trust, he/she will be expected to observe local employment and personnel policies and procedures.

The over-riding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.

Provision of a service to Sherwood Forest Hospitals, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the proper functioning of the department.
