About the role
We are seeking a Community Child Health and Child Neurodevelopmental paediatric consultant to join our dynamic and friendly department at the Cheyne child development service.
This post is for a Community paediatrician especially with interest in Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Social Communication Disorders and Social Paediatrics. The successful applicant will join our team in providing excellent care to our local children and their families.
This post is for 7 PA, to start as soon as possible.
Candidates are expected to be on the GMC specialist Register in paediatrics with CCT/CCST in Community Paediatrics, or to be UK specialist trainees within 6 months of CCT/CCST/CESR at date of interview.
The post holder will be a paediatrician trained to consultant level in all aspects of community paediatrics. The post holder: o Will provide consultant paediatric input for social communication assessments in the preschool social communication pathway and the school age social communication pathwayo Will provide consultant paediatric input for neurodevelopmental clinics within a multidisciplinary teamo Will provide consultant paediatric input for ADHD clinics both in terms and assessment and in terms of management.o Will contribute to and support the clinical governance programme of the Trusto Will contribute to the undergraduate medical teaching programmeo Individual posts will also include specified roles from the Departmental job plan, to be discussed at interview.
