About the role
Violet Lane Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and patient-centred Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 6 sessions per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated GP who is committed to delivering high-quality primary care while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking practice environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive general medical services to our diverse patient population, including routine and urgent consultations, management of chronic diseases, preventative healthcare, and care coordination with wider health and social care services. They will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. We are committed to supporting our clinicians' professional development and welcome applications from GPs with specialist interests or those looking to develop portfolio careers alongside their core general practice role. Our practice offers a supportive culture, strong clinical leadership, and opportunities to contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives. This role would suit a GP who values teamwork, clinical excellence, and patient-centred care, and who is looking to make a meaningful contribution to a growing and progressive practice.
The Salaried GP will provide high-quality, patient-centred care through face-to-face, telephone and online consultations. Key responsibilities include assessing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribing appropriately, reviewing results and correspondence, maintaining accurate clinical records, and making referrals when required. The postholder will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, contribute to preventative healthcare and long-term condition management, and participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and practice development activities to support the delivery of safe and effective primary care services.
