About the role
This is a full time ENT consultant post with a special interest in Otology and Lateral Skull Base Surgery. The post holder will also be expected to carry out some general ENT surgery. The post will be based at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals. Work is also carried out at King's College Hospital, including a ward round, and it is a requirement of your employment that you be prepared to work at any additional or different location owned or served by the Trust, either on an ongoing or temporary basis according to the demands of the service. The post holder will be expected to take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, and to contribute to the management of the clinical service and service development. The post holder will participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care.
o The post holder must be medically/dentally qualified and maintain GMC or GDC specialist registration and hold a licence to practise. o To develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the role. o To ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care programmed activities. o To ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and to respond to their views. o To participate in on-call duties 1:15.
