4 years full time post-graduate working in a clinical area (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty or equivalent experience and competencies

Evidence of ability to take full responsibility for independent management of patients throughout the patient journey

Demonstrable skills in communication (written & verbal) in particular with colleagues, patients and families about sensitive and complex issues

Ability to take independent clinical decisions when necessary and to seek advice from senior doctors as appropriate

Flexible in approach to work and a willingness to meet the changing needs of Hospice users
