About the role
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate GP to join our team in rural Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced clinical and administration colleagues. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team you will play a key role in delivering high quality healthcare for patients who can face challenges accessing services due to geography and transport limitations. The main duties of the role; Provide high quality patient centred care through 15 minute face to face appointments, telephone appointments and digital consultations. (Accurx) Assess diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Prescribe medication safely and effectively in line with current clinical guidelines. Use of Electronic Prescribing Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records. Mentor or support medical students from Cardiff University. Support local Community hospital and colleagues with weekly ward rounds and daily visits. Promote and support QI project. Attend clinical meetings.
Based in rural Wales we are a friendly team with a supportive and inclusive working environment. We have 4800 patients registered our team consists of 3 GPs (one is retiring), 3 Advance Nurse Practitioners. 2 Practice nurses, 1 Band 4 Nurse Assistant Practitioner and 2 HCA assistants also administration and clerical colleagues. We have daily Advanced Nurse Practitioner triage, chronic disease management clinics, Spirometry clinics, with a significant commitment to the local Community Clinic, we enjoy and encourage undergraduate teaching and we are a high QI achiever.
