LAS ST3+ Medical Registrar

The Acute and Integrated Community Care Directorate at Macclesfield District General Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic ST3+ level registrar to join the Acute Medicine team on a fixed term LAS contract for 12 months. This post is offered at a pivotal time of service development, including the opening of a new 8-bedded Acute Medical Receiving Unit (AMRU) in June 2026. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality medical care while supporting safe and efficient patient flow across the hospital. This is a Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 role. The post holder can be deployed flexibly across all acute and general medical areas as required by service demand. This includes front door services, inpatient wards, and escalation areas. The role is not tied to a single unit. The role is flexible and not tied to a single unit. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple acute and general medical teams, providing senior clinical input, supporting decision-making, and assisting in the supervision of junior staff.
