About the role
Are you a forward-looking Family & Systemic Psychotherapist with outstanding clinical knowledge, extensive post qualification experience, and a track record of successful clinical and professional leadership and strategic working? Do you have a passion for high quality NHS provision and are you energetic and ready for your next career move? Then this exciting Consultant Family & Systemic Therapist post (three days a week/0.6wte) may be for you. We are looking for the right person to provide clinical, professional and strategic leadership for family therapy and systemic provision across Berkshire. You will work clinically in your area of specialism (a background in NHS mental health services, and experience of working with children and young people is essential) and provide clinical supervision, consultation and training as required across services. There is some flexibility for hybrid working, but you will be required to be in the office and travel to sites across Berkshire most days. We are committed to high quality care, and you will be committed to leading and developing both services and staff, implementing governance frameworks, and collaborating across services, roles, and systems to benefit service users and staff.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead systemic and family therapy provision across the Trust, working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to enhance psychological care and service delivery. You will maintain a specialist clinical role, preferably within CAMHS, although other specialisms may be considered. You may also work across services where your expertise is required. Drawing on your specialist knowledge and experience, you will provide leadership, supervision, consultation, training and clinical governance across mental health, learning disability and physical health services for people of all ages. You will oversee systemic and family therapy provision, ensuring qualified and trainee family therapists receive high-quality supervision, professional leadership and clinical support to deliver effective assessments and interventions. Working with Consultant Psychologists and Heads of Service, you will influence strategic service and workforce development, supporting accessible, high-quality psychological care pathways across the Trust. You will need excellent interpersonal, collaborative and strategic skills to work effectively across services and professional groups. You will join an established psychological leadership team, with opportunities to develop your leadership and change management skills while improving patient and staff wellbeing.
