Heaton Moor Medical Group is seeking THREE enthusiastic and committed GPs to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term maternity cover contract. Days to be discussed and agreed. We have 3 maternity cover vacancies available. The successful candidates will provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Main duties include: Undertaking face-to-face, telephone and online consultations. Assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic disease presentations. Undertaking home and care home visits where clinically appropriate. Reviewing pathology results, clinical correspondence and actioning investigations. Prescribing safely in accordance with local and national guidance. Completing referrals, medical reports and other clinical administration in a timely manner. Supporting the delivery of QOF, enhanced services and quality improvement initiatives. Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous and high-quality clinical records. Participating in the practice on-call rota and supporting urgent same-day care. Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care. Supporting safeguarding, clinical governance, audit and patient safety processes. Participating in continuing professional development, mandatory training, appraisal and the education of students and GP trainees where appropriate. The post-holder will undertake the full range of duties expected of a GP working in primary care, ensuring care is delivered in line with GMC standards, practice policies and NHS contractual requirements.
