Trauma & Orthopaedic Service falls within the Allied, Clinical Support & Planned Care Directorate. This is headed by our Associate Director, Alex Borg and our Deputy Medical Director Dr Marta Babores. The Orthopaedic Service is managed by the Operational Manager for Planned Care, Amy Guest.

The Trauma and Orthopaedic department have a team of nine Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultants, one Associate Specialist and three specialty doctors who provide a full range of Trauma and Orthopaedic procedures with areas of expertise in hip, knee, upper limb, and foot and ankle surgery. Major trauma and spinal conditions are referred to tertiary centres.
