About the role
Consultant in General Paediatrics with Special Interest in Respiratory Medicine An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant in General Paediatrics with a Special Interest in Respiratory Medicine. The successful candidate will provide consultant-led care across acute, inpatient and ambulatory paediatric services and participate in the paediatric on-call rota. They will support the development and delivery of specialist respiratory services, providing high-quality care in line with national standards. The post holder will have expertise in managing paediatric respiratory conditions, including asthma, recurrent wheeze, chronic cough, bronchiectasis and sleep-disordered breathing. Working within a multidisciplinary team, they will collaborate with specialist nurses, allied health professionals, primary care and tertiary centres to deliver integrated care and improve patient outcomes. The role includes service development, clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and teaching responsibilities, contributing to the ongoing enhancement and sustainability of respiratory services.
