About the role

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is pleased to announce the continuation of this post. The post is suitable for a cardiology trainee with an interest in imaging to acquire skills for scanning, supervising and reporting cardiac CT and MR independently. There are also additional clinical service commitments.

This post is not a recognised UK training post. However, the post-holder will have a named supervisor and support with undertaking scheduled educational opportunities within the Trust. We can support applications to get the position approved as OOP if the doctor is already in a training programme.

The main duties of the post will include:

Supervision and first-reporting of cardiac MRI and CT (with appropriate consultant supervision) Out-patient activities/clinics Involvement in specialty and cross-specialty multi-disciplinary teams and meetings Involvement in relevant administration duties Teaching and supervision of resident medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate Active involvement in audit and clinical governance including service improvement activities Please see attached full job description for an example weekly timetable.
