EA Locum GP

West London GP Federation is seeking experienced, self-employed General Practitioners to provide clinical services within our Enhanced Access Hubs. This opportunity is suited to independent GPs looking to undertake sessions as part of a portfolio career, with the flexibility to accept sessions that fit their availability and professional interests.

In accordance with the Enhanced Access Contract, as agreed, the post-holder will make themself available to undertake a variety of duties including face to face consultations, telephone consultations and queries. Provide high-quality clinical care to patients presenting with acute, chronic, or urgent health problems during evening and weekend sessions. Conduct structured face-to-face and remote consultation as dictated by service demand. Perform clinical examinations, diagnose conditions, formulate management plans, and initiate evidence-based treatment. Issue prescriptions, arrange appropriate diagnostic tests, and make secondary care or community service referrals using local clinical pathways. Manage clinical administration generated during the shift (e.g., pathology interpretation, tasks, and referral documents) efficiently prior to the end of the session. Ensure clear, accurate, and contemporary clinical consultation entries on System1 Provide support to other clinical team members including Triborough rapid response team Attend MDT meetings Prescribing in accordance with the NWL prescribing formulary and NICE guidance. In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, recognising the key difference of hub working.
